Melissa brings a wide range of experience in the field of education to the Center for Teaching and Learning. Melissa is excited to share her knowledge in designing and developing online learning experiences. In the Online Learning Instructional Designer role, Melissa supports and guides subject matter experts in applying eLearning best practices, learning theory, pedagogy, and accessibility through the development process. Melissa holds several undergraduate degrees from Lake Superior State University, Algoma University, and Nipissing University. She is certified by the Ontario College of Teachers and recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from Athabasca University. She is also pursuing an MEd in Open, Digital and Distance Education.

David is the Copyright Specialist here at Algoma University and is available to help with all related questions or concerns. If you are designing a course and want to know the best way to make materials available to your students, or you’re concerned about protecting your own work, or you’re organizing a multimedia event on campus (or anything in between), please don’t hesitate to write to him with your questions. Roma is the LMS Support Agent at Algoma University. She is dedicated to helping instructors and students with their LMS-related queries. She has a Master’s in Computer Science and a Certificate in Adult Education. She has robust experience in diligently serving the academic sector and taking on different roles, including handling LMS, training faculty/ staff, and developing practical courses and training material.
